April 2006

Editorial

After the extreamly rich encounter of one hundred youngsters Italiens, Spaniards and French at the Sigeric Centre of European Culture in Fidenza (Italy), organised by the local authorities, at the head of the European cultural itinery of the Via Francigena and the French Centre of European Culture of Saint Jean d'Angély, it is now over to five other nationalities, German, Italien, Spanish, Romanian and French to participate in the next two encounters held at the french centre.

In parallel with this main activity lots of other things are going on in the Abbaye Royale such as artists residences, professional artistic training courses, concerts and recordings.

Above all though it is a crucial time of the year concerning the encounters of European culture and citizenship for the academic year 2006/2007. These projects demand much time and energy from the participating partners. As of yet I haven't met anyone who can congratulate himself with the satisfaction of sucessfully carrying the project through to the end. We must pass the message on!

Director of Centre of European Culture
