YOUTH ENCOUNTERS

Since 1989 the Centre is the only non governmental organisation which proposes to youngsters form 25 countries intercultural encounters of European Citizenship. This is accompanied by and adapted intellect and pedagogy, necessary to explain the general and historical context of the construction of a united Europe to the first of publics: youngsters. During these encounters, the Centres put into place programs which allow the youngsters to confront their "European-ness". They will be brought to realise that they are the actors of a Europe in construction.

The main objectives of the encounters are:

To allow these youngsters to work on their common cultural roots by taking into account what separates them and what brings them together in order to construct tomorrows Europe?
To create alongside professionals who have chosen to share their knowledge and passion, a common artistic creation
To choose current European topics, this will be the subject of debates.
To cease every opportunity to talk, encounter and work with people who they would not meet on a regular basis.
Finally to create links between people and establishments who could create new encounters, projects and largely influence the open mindedness of the general public.
