ARTIST RESIDENCIES

Start of the new school year 2009: artistic creation and discovery.  Three residencies will take place thanks to the operation set up by the Poitou-Charentes Regional Council.  Interesting encounters await you at the Royal Abbey and in the town of Saint-Jean-d’Angély.  There will be public rehearsals at various sites in the town as well as exchanges and discussions about the creation, particulary with secondary school students.
The first residency by Pascal Ducourtioux and Sidar Günes, musicians and composers known as “Harmane”  was presented during the inaugural Autumn picnic (a new tradition of Saint-Jean-d’Angély).  The other residencies are by Ibai Hernandorena, an artist chosen amongst 150 candidates for a new residency at the Centre of European Culture, and Compagnie Décadrages directed by the choreographer Lorraine Gomès.
For more information, see our section "Residencies".

THE CENTRE OF EUROPEAN CULTURE ON MYSPACE AND FACEBOOK

In order to allow members to keep in contact, a forum has been created for young Europeans to participate and connect on Myspace.
Following the 20th anniversary of the Centre of European Culture in 2009, we would like to bring together and unite all the former members since 1989. To achieve this we have set up a facebook account.
